Ecuador – country in the middle of the world
Ecuador, placed South America and intersected by the equator, is a presidential republic. Its capital Quito is declared on the World Heritage List. The most populated cities in the country, besides the capital, are also Guayaquil and Cuenca. The Ecuadorian republic also comprises the Galapagos Islands, remote from the rest of the state and famous for the great variety of flora and fauna. Ecuador is a very interesting country to visit and it is not difficult to arrive here, thanks to the presence of four international airports. In addition, the country has well-established transport links between cities to facilitate the movement of tourists. When visiting Ecuador the great importance has also the Pan-American Highway, the roads of which cross the whole country, linking the most famous places and cities.
Undoubtedly, this is a very fascinating journey to a country located on a parallel that divides the hemisphere into two parts, and this point is in Quito. Here is symbolically erected a monument with a central tower, where the museum of history of this unit is disposed. It is impossible do not miss the visit of the old town of Quito, where you can visit 40 churches and chapels, 16 monasteries, 17 squares and 12 museums on your choice. Among the most important monuments is the Church of La Comérie de Jesús, created in the Baroque style, the Church of San Francisco, also the Church of St. Augustin and the Cathedral, a mixture of Spanish and European art, with characteristic elements of the art of indigenous peoples.

Meanwhile, visiting Cuenca, you will have the opportunity to see several monuments in different parts of the city. In fact, there are ancient or classical monuments, also those relating to the present.

The Galapagos are an archipelago, which consists of 14 islands, and each of them has its own special characteristics that bring a special flavor to your journey. In these territories developed the large-scale production and the cultivation of coffee, cotton, pepper and tomato. Here you can also observe various natural wonders, thanks to the presence of an absolutely original flora. Among such miracles we should certainly note the different species of animals living here, including giant turtles.
